Black Rhinos
Do you know how many Black Rhinos are left in the wild? There are about 1,900 Rhinos left. The population of Black Rhinos are being threatened because of poachers.
Poachers kill Black Rhinos for just their horns. They use their horns for handles on knives and to sell for money. Over 73,000 rhinos have been killed in the last 30 years. All of this is because of poachers.
In the wild, poaching is affecting the food chain and tourism. Also, it is affecting the Black Rhinos. A food chain is a link of living things that go like human, bear, deer, grass, sun. The people who travel to Africa to see rhinos will end if poaching doesn’t end on Black Rhinos. The people who travel around the world are called tourists.
People are making a plan to protect rhinos. There are guarded guards who protect rhinos. WWF (world wildlife foundation) is helping to bring the population back. For example they take them in captivity
In conclusion, the population of rhinos is being threatened by poachers. Over the years rhinos have been killed and
We need to do something about it. Animal reserves and the government are trying to stop poachers.

SAVE THE INOCCENT KOALAS
Did you know that 80 percent of Koala’s habitat has been destroyed in the last 200 years? Koala’s risk of extinction affects tourism and that translate into 9,000 jobs for Australians. The population of Koalas is being threatened because of dog attacks and other animals.
Koalas are not currently on the endangered list but they’re close.
Baby Koalas are being killed because of large birds such as owls and eagles. According to Gabriella, Koala’s population is decreasing and could be as low as 40,000. Koalas biggest threat to them is dog and cars. When Koalas come down from there trees they can get hit by cars and get attacked by dogs. Also scientists estimate that the next 30 years the Koalas will be extinct.
Did you know that if Koalas go extinct it will affect the food chain and people? A food chain is what an animal eats and another animal eats. For example a hawk eats a Koala and a Koala eats eucalypts leaves. Also plants are apart of a food chain. If Koalas go extinct that will be bad for the food chain.
People in Australia are helping to stop Koalas from being endangered. Like keeping there dogs locked up at night and not letting their dogs wander without supervision. They also made a foundation to save the Koalas. Lastly they made a website called www.savethekoalas.com . Many people are working hard to achieve to save the Koalas. Also you can join them.
In conclusion the population of Koalas is being threatened because of dog attacks and other animals. Also Koala’s habitat has been destroyed. People in Australia can lose jobs if Koalas go extinct. That’s why people should save Koalas and people should watch out when there driving and tell there dogs to behave.

SAVE THE ASIAN ELEPHANTS
Did you know that there is only 20,000-25,000 left in the world? Asian elephants are endangered. This can cause a big problem for the food chain, people and the economy. Asian elephants are endangered because poaching hunting and habitat loss.
Asian elephants are endangered because of three main reasons: poaching, hunting, and habitat loss. They get poached for their ivory tucks to sell and trade. Also their habitat is being destroyed, or damaged to make things like railways and roads. Habitat loss forces elephants into close quarters with humans. So, elephants can eat human’s crops and when they do farmers get made and kill them. For elephants, their biggest threat has always been hunting, consequently, there are only 20,000-25,000 left in the world.
A food chain is a chain of animals that eat each other to survive. Tiger’s ands lions eat the Asian elephant so if the elephants all became extinct, or die, tigers and lions will too. And it will affect all the animals in the food chain. But it will also affect the economy in Asia and here. People buy their ivory tusks even in the United States. It can affect people and the food chain.
The W.W.F wild life foundation is helping animals in need. Also to help they are reducing impact on elephant’s population. They also are trying to lower local animosity against elephants and doing anti poaching operations. But they are not the only group that is helping wildlife. How can you help? Learn how you can take action to the most urgent threat to tigers, rhinos and elephants stop wild life crimes.
In conclusion, Asian elephants are endangered because poaching, hunting and habitat loss which affects everything on earth. This is a big problem to the food chain, economy and people. We may not be able to stop people from harming Asian elephants. But if we find ways to help the number of elephants might come back.

STOP POACHING
Did you know animals around the world are being poached? People poach for money, medicine, food, and fur. Animal populations are being threatened because of poachers.
Poaching is when a person hunts or sets a trap that harms or kills an endangered animal. Africa and Asia is facing the most poaching. Poacher’s hunts endangered animals for food, fur, and medicine. That’s why poachers hunt endangered animals.
These are some examples of endangered animals that are being hunt. One example is elephants for tusks to sell the ivory. Another example is tigers for their fur. Another example is rhinos for medicine from their horns.
This is what is being done to stop poaching: the WWF is moving animals into different habitats. Also they hire guards to watch for poachers and traps.
